Ellsworth ,population 450, is located in central Iowa at the junction of Interstate 35 and U.S. Highway 175. The community offers quality, affordable, small town living. It's a place where people care for and care about each other.

Education Ellsworth is one of four towns in the South Hamilton School District. The school is in Jewell, located three miles west of Ellsworth. A 5.4 million-dollar renovation in 2000 makes the school an appealing place to education your children. The school serves K-12 students, and offers a broad range of academics, sports and music opportunities.

Housing A new subdivision has opened up the opportunities for new home construction in Ellsworth. Economic Development The community's industrial park is located in a prime spot for industry. It sits directly west of Interstate 35 on the north side of Iowa Highway 175. Seventy acres are available for development. The park is currently occupied by Best Veterinary Solutions, Inc. and will soon be home to a distribution facility for Granite City Brewery. Tax incentives and favorable finance programs are offered to new businesses locating in Ellsworth.
